Use these guidelines to create electronic files compatible with our high resolution imaging system.
 |
Do not use a pulldown menu or control pallet to make bolds or italics. Instead, select the bold or italic
font. Exception: Windows platform - you must apply bolds or italics using a pulldown menu or control
pallet, but make sure there is a corresponding bold or italic version of the font on the system.
Provide all fonts used in your document including fonts used in graphic files (unless the fonts have
been "converted to outlines"). Include both the screen and printer versions of Postscript fonts. Give us
only the fonts that are used in your document. We accept True Type, Postscript and OpenType fonts.

All graphics placed in the document must be provided in their original format (.tif, .bmp, .eps, .jpg,
.wmf, etc.) as files separate from your layout document. The graphics placed in your document are
screen resolution placeholders and will not image well. Embedded graphics should be provided
separately as well in case there are problems.
Do not change the name of graphics AFTER they are placed in a document.
Graphics obtained from the internet are screen resolution and will not image well. Photographic
images should have a resolution of 300 dpi; line art should have a resolution of 600 dpi or higher.

Include a printout (printed actual size) of the FINAL document. If it is larger than your printer, tile it and
tape it together. If you make changes, print it out again. Indicate color breaks if it is not possible to
provide a color printout.
Print color separations. Color separations allow you to make sure the elements of your document are
going to print in the appropriate color. Review your separations and make sure you do not have more
than the number of colors you are requesting us to print.
No extra material. Please give us only the material needed for the job.
